The 16th Annual Congress of the European Association for Hemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD)

The 16th Annual Congress of the European Association for Hemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) took place in Manchester, UK from 7-10 February 2023, with close to 1,900 attendees F2F and 400 connecting online. The event was held at the Manchester Central Convention Complex and provided a forum for experts in the field of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders to share the latest research, clinical advances, and best practices. Responsible for organizing the 16th Annual Congress of EAHAD, MCI Switzerland (who has worked with EAHAD since 2011) was tasked with managing all aspects of the event. Besides successfully guiding EAHAD through these difficult times, this also included registration handling, sponsorship sourcing, venue booking, implementation of the full hybridization, and abstract submission. Working closely with the EAHAD organizing committee to ensure that all aspects of the congress met their specifications and requirements, our team was responsible for providing attendees (F2F and virtual) with a seamless and user-friendly experience to ensure a new up-take after 2 years of fully virtual congresses. The stakeholders’ expectations of this 16th EAHAD Congress were high. It was the first time they met again after 3 years. The result speaks for itself with final registration numbers equaling the pre-Covid numbers. Working hand-in-hand with Dorier as well as Kabloom, two of MCI’s sister companies, we took the best of each team for maximum impact and result. Overall, the event was a huge success, with attendees, sponsors, the client, and the suppliers praising the organization, management, and execution of the congress. Our team was proud to have played a key role in delivering this congress, providing all stakeholders with meaningful moments to exchange and share.
