To achieve a balanced planet, a global company in the energy sector develops technologies for the extraction of essential energy. The technology the company is developing focuses on sustainable energy production, as well as innovation that delivers low-impact, renewable energy. To showcase these technologies and educate investors about them, they needed an engaging way to demonstrate their vision and tell their story. The company partnered with MCI because of its commitment to delivering desired results and its ability to create an immersive event that drove their narrative messaging of “going further.”
The Immersive Experience
Throughout the event, MCI ensured that attendees were submerged in the technology company’s world of innovation, transformation and ambition through 3-D animations, virtual reality and interactive simulations. MCI created a living sense that the audience was traveling beyond the present and into the future, sharing in the vision rather than being presented with it.
The “going further” theme was implemented from the start, using delegates’ phones to send invites that, through their screens, pulled them to the setting for the event at Spring Studios in New York City. As speakers delivered their keynotes in the main auditorium, they were supported by background animations and visuals on a 30-meter screen and full projection floor. Below this space, there was a showcase area, allowing for smaller groups to dive deeper into topics, customizing sessions with attendees and further increasing engagement with the company.
Interaction and immersion also continued outside the main auditorium. MCI developed a feature called “The Curve,” comprised of sculptural columns that featured built-in screens showing important information throughout the day. Additionally, in the separate café area, MCI installed a large LED arch showing a custom animation of the mining/recovery process, ensuring that attendees were consistently learning and interacting.
Results
This event was also the launch of the technology company’s new branding, and it was vital that this new look and feel was successfully displayed to and embraced by delegates in attendance. Another noted result was attendance. All 180 investors and delegates stayed for the duration of the event, attending the after party to find out as much as possible about the company’s technology and ambitions for the future.
