When a global consulting firm needed an exclusive team-building event for their executive leadership, they partnered with MCI to bring this experience to life. Inspired by a global athletic event taking place in Paris, MCI presented a sophisticated and inclusive afternoon of activities that mirrored the essence of France, while maintaining a balance between competition and camaraderie.
The MCI Approach
MCI focused on critical aspects of the event while collaborating closely with the consulting firm’s internal team to provide:
Event planning and coordination: Ensuring all logistical elements were meticulously planned to align with the client’s vision.
Vendor management: Coordinating with vendors to secure high-quality services and products needed for the event.
Onsite support: Offering on-the-ground assistance to manage the event flow and address any issues promptly.
With the sports theme in mind, MCI proposed six curated activities, from which the client selected three. First, leveraging the hotel’s pickleball courts, MCI organized a friendly competition amongst attendees, complete with custom paddles featuring attendees’ initials and an appearance by a lookalike of tennis star Andre Agassi. The next activity was a mental challenge involving a 30-minute 3D-puzzle-building competition, where teams pitched their creations in French-themed costumes, followed by a game of pétanque, the French equivalent of Italian bocce ball.
The event culminated in a private dinner at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West house in Scottsdale, Arizona, a rental venue chosen for its architectural significance and charitable cause of preserving the arts. The evening featured exquisite catering and decor, a tour of the property and a memorable dinner for attendees, all contributing to a unique, meaningful experience.
