An innovative presentation environment as a showcase for modern industry

The 'CU.BE' at Bosch Rexroth's Customer and Innovation Centre in Ulm is the place where everything revolves around researching technologies, making use of cross-divisional know-how and finding the best ways to create innovative solutions with real CUstomer BEnefits. In order to make these intuitively accessible, we have designed an interactive experience and have created hybrid showcases that give innovation a home.

Making the 'factory of the future' and it's added values visible and tangible

With this vision in mind, we worked closely with Bosch Rexroth to develop an immersive experience for the model factory, the heart of CU.BE: the Hybrid Shopfloor. A modular and interactive presentation tool that supports target group-specific storytelling with high-tech applications and communicates the 'invisible benefits' of digitization interactively and in real time.

Assignment

As a leading supplier of industrial automation, Bosch Rexroth is working flat out on forward-looking solutions whose intelligence is increasingly defined at the software level. However - how can these digital advantages be presented in such a way that customers, suppliers, potential users and development partners immediately understand the benefits for themselves? Also, how can flexibility, transparency and digital networking be visualized? We have taken on this task in close cooperation with Bosch Rexroth and our partner raumHOCH.

Solution

With the Hybrid Shopfloor in the model factory, we have created an innovative presentation tool for the 'factory of the future' that allows visitors to interactively experience both Bosch Rexroth's hardware and software expertise in the field of industrial motion. The immersive visitor experience can be quickly customised and target-group oriented through modular programming, thus promoting individual consultation with the visitor.

Storytelling par excellence for sales, product development and marketing: in a very short time, the model factory has established itself as an important part of the innovation and consulting process in which customers, partners and developers share and further develop their vision of the 'factory of the future’.

Outcome

  • The opportunities and possibilities of Industry 4.0 solutions can be experienced live by visitors who can also experiment with them.
  • The 'invisible' functions and benefits of Industry 4.0 become understandable and tangible.
  • The target group-specific presentation of complex interrelationships puts the focus on individual added value.
  • The high-tech presentation environment emphasises the aspirations of high-tech industrial solutions.
  • An innovative presentation tool for sales, marketing, product development and prototyping.
